Experience to Count On
Both Walter and Tawana have been blessed with varied work and life experiences that have prepared them for their present vocation.
As a young man, Walter served with the United States Navy as a medical corpsman on submarines. That disciplined endeavor prepared him for work with the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office as an investigator trainee. Finally, he was a Pathologist Assistant for 22-years at an area hospital. He was then led by the Lord, to pursue mortuary science and attend school for funeral service.
Tawana is a social worker by training, with a Masters and Doctorate in her field. She has worked as a child and family therapist in mental health agencies and taught at undergraduate and graduate college levels. She is a regular presenter at social welfare agencies, conferences, and churches. She serves as Membership chairperson of the Alliance of Black Social Workers, Inc. and served as Secretary for the West Oak Lane Business Association.
The Sabbaths are committed to providing high quality service to individuals and families, whether they have suffered a loss or want to make pre-arrangements. Their motto is "We Celebrate Life." They operate out of a desire to meet people where they are and hear their needs. Over the years, families and individuals they have served have commended them for their professionalism and caring.
Putting your needs first, the Sabbaths stay with the pace of your family, don't rush, and are willing to hear and listen to you. What we do best is help you relax and to think about what makes sense to you in a time of need. After each service, they perform a three-week follow up with you to evaluate their business.
